Privacy Policy

AKPI (Indonesian Association of Curators and Administrators) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal data belonging to every user of its website, mobile application, and members. Account Data When using the Member Portal or the AKPI mobile application, AKPI may store:

  • Login/session tokens
  • Biometric login status (e.g., fingerprint/Face ID enabled or disabled), where the app supports this — note that AKPI does not store the biometric data itself, which remains on the user's device

  • Device information (device model, operating system, and OS version)
  • Cookies (website) and equivalent local storage/SDK identifiers (mobile app)
  • Pages or in-app screens visited

  • Crash logs and diagnostic data, for troubleshooting and app stability


2. Purpose of Data Use

  • Manage AKPI membership
  • Verify member identity
  • Manage payment of membership fees
  • Manage education and certification
  • Issue certificates
  • Deliver organizational information
  • Manage seminars, training, and events
  • Provide Member Portal and mobile application services
  • Respond to user inquiries
  • Improve the quality of the website and mobile application
  • Send service notifications and updates via the app (e.g., push notifications), where enabled by the user
  • Maintain the security and proper functioning of the app and website
  • Fulfill legal obligations


3. Member Portal and Mobile Application
The Member Portal and AKPI mobile application may only be used by members who hold an official account.

 

Each member is responsible for:

  • keeping their username and password confidential;
  • not sharing their account with any other party;
  • promptly reporting any suspected unauthorized use of their account;
  • keeping the mobile application updated to the latest version to ensure security patches are applied;
  • reviewing and managing app permissions (e.g., notifications, location, camera, storage) through their device settings.

AKPI reserves the right to deactivate an account if usage is found to violate the organization's terms, whether accessed via the website or the mobile application.


4. Payments
If the website or mobile application provides payment for membership fees or event fees, transactions will be processed through a secure payment system/gateway.

AKPI does not store credit card information, PINs, OTPs, or other sensitive financial data. Such data is processed directly by the relevant licensed payment service provider.


5. Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies
The AKPI website uses cookies, and the AKPI mobile application uses equivalent technologies (such as local storage and SDK identifiers), to:

  • improve the user experience;
  • remember user preferences;
  • maintain a member's login session;
  • analyze website and app usage;
  • improve system security;
  • support push notification delivery (mobile application, where enabled).

Users may delete or disable cookies through their browser settings, and may manage app permissions and notifications through their device settings. However, some website or app features may not function optimally if these are disabled.


6. Data Security
AKPI implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational security measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or misuse — across the website, member portal, and mobile application.

However, no electronic system, including mobile applications, is entirely free of risk. Users are therefore also responsible for maintaining the security of their own account, device, and login credentials, including promptly updating the app and their device operating system when security updates are available.

AKPI does not sell or trade members' personal data.

Data may only be shared with:

  • government institutions, where required by law;
  • service providers that work with AKPI to operate organizational services (including, where applicable, app hosting, analytics, or push notification providers) — bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations;
  • other parties, based on the data owner's consent.


8. Data Retention
Personal data is retained for as long as necessary for:

  • the operation of the organization;
  • membership administration;
  • fulfillment of legal obligations;
  • organizational archival purposes.

Once no longer required, data will be deleted or anonymized in accordance with internal policy and applicable law. This applies equally to data collected through the website and the mobile application.

Every user has the right to:

  • access their personal data;
  • update their information;
  • request correction if inaccuracies exist;
  • request deletion of data in accordance with applicable law;
  • withdraw consent to data processing where permitted under applicable law;
  • manage app-level permissions (such as notifications, location, or camera access) at any time through their device settings, and to uninstall the mobile application to stop further local data collection by the app.

The AKPI website and mobile application may contain links to other websites or third-party services (including third-party SDKs used within the app, if any).

AKPI is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites or services.
