Indonesia Insolvency Conference 2026

As global trade expands across jurisdictions, bankruptcy and restructuring cases increasingly involve assets, creditors, and stakeholders across multiple countries. This reality demands a legal framework that can handle cross-border insolvency in a predictable, cooperative, and efficient manner—and Indonesia is now preparing to adopt the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency as part of the upcoming amendments to the Bankruptcy and Suspension of Payments Law.
The adoption of this internationally recognized framework is expected to strengthen Indonesia's bankruptcy regime, facilitate cross-court cooperation, and enhance legal certainty for investors and creditors. The Indonesia Insolvency Conference 2026 will serve as a platform for dialogue between leading restructuring and bankruptcy practitioners, policymakers, academics, and judges from across the Asia-Pacific region.
Conference Theme
With the theme "Embracing the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency as a Roadmap for the Future of Restructuring & Insolvency Practice," this conference will explore how the Model Law can shape the future of restructuring and insolvency practice in Indonesia and the region.
