Opening of the 33rd Batch Curator Education Program to Be Conducted in a Structured Format

As global trade expands across jurisdictions, insolvency and restructuring cases increasingly involve assets, creditors, and stakeholders across multiple countries. This reality requires a legal framework capable of handling cross-border insolvency in a predictable, cooperative, and efficient manner—and Indonesia is now preparing to adopt the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency as part of the upcoming amendments to its Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU) Law.
The adoption of this internationally recognized framework is expected to strengthen Indonesia’s insolvency regime, facilitate cross-court cooperation, and enhance legal certainty for investors and creditors. The Indonesia Insolvency Conference 2026 will serve as a platform for dialogue among leading restructuring and insolvency practitioners, policymakers, academics, and judges from across the Asia-Pacific region.
Conference Theme
Under the theme “Embracing the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency as a Roadmap for the Future of Restructuring & Insolvency Practice,” the conference will explore how the Model Law can shape the future of restructuring and insolvency practice in Indonesia and the wider region.
