INDONESIA INSOLVENCY CONFERENCE 2026

As global cross-jurisdictional trade expands, bankruptcy and restructuring cases increasingly involve assets, creditors, and stakeholders across multiple countries. This reality demands a legal framework capable of handling cross-border insolvency in a predictable, cooperative, and efficient manner—and Indonesia is now preparing to adopt the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency as part of upcoming amendments to the Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU) Law.

Adopting this internationally recognized framework is expected to strengthen Indonesia’s insolvency regime, facilitate cross-court cooperation, and enhance legal certainty for investors and creditors. The Indonesia Insolvency Conference 2026 will serve as a platform for dialogue among leading restructuring and insolvency practitioners, policymakers, academics, and judges from across the Asia-Pacific region.

Conference Theme

Centered on the theme “Embracing the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency as a Roadmap for the Future of Restructuring & Insolvency Practice,” the conference will explore how the Model Law can shape the future of restructuring and insolvency practice in Indonesia and the wider region. Discussions will feature comparative perspectives from Asia-Pacific jurisdictions that have already adopted the framework.

Important Notes for Participants
Payments must be made via electronic channels (online payment or EFT) only; cash and checks are not accepted. In-person participants are requested to bring photo identification (passport, driver's license, or company ID card) for registration. Online participants will receive a unique access link via email no later than 24 hours before the event begins. Written cancellations made at least 14 days prior to the event are eligible for a full refund; cancellations made after this period are subject to an administrative fee in accordance with the organizer's policy.
